Hi, I’m Naserian Kirrokor, a proud nomad and the founder of The Nomad Child Foundation. I work with nomadic communities to support children both girls and boys through education, mentorship, health, and climate resilience.
I didn’t just witness the challenges facing our people, I lived them. I’ve experienced the pain of lacking school fees, the threat of FGM and early marriage, and the heartbreak of classmates dropping out due to teenage pregnancy. I’ve felt the deep loss that drought brings not just in the land, but in our homes, in our health, and in our herds. When our cows die, a part of us dies too.
That’s why our work goes beyond classrooms. We focus on environmental conservation and climate action because we know that protecting our land and livestock is key to protecting our future. When the earth thrives, so do our children.
Rooted in culture and guided by hope, The Nomad Child Foundation is walking alongside communities to ensure every child grows up safe, educated, and ready to lead no matter the storms they face.
We believe that children who grow up in Pastoral environment need fearless approaches to assist them on social changes so we take actions in new ideas and approaches such as ensuring the children get needs such as education, food, and health care.
Our women also need awareness and advocacy about their sexual health and available means to tackle FGM. We are hence seeking partnerships across sectors with people and other or organizations that share our objectives in engaging citizens and changing the world for the better.
